October Sock-Give-A-Way

Are you all up for another give-a-way? We'll do another pair of women's hand cranked socks for this month. Please just leave a comment on this post and on November 1st, I'll randomly draw one name. I'll email that person to see what size they'd like and will surprise them with one very fun pair. (the socks in the picture aren't necessarily the ones that will be given away)

I emailed Vanessa (last month's winner), but haven't heard from her yet. If you're reading this post Vanessa, please email me, ok?

Yesterday I took a short break from cranking socks and just sat and enjoyed making another little purse on a key ring.

The sock monkey that's for little Aadyn is also coming along.

Just finished his "bum"!!!! It's done with short rows and works up very quickly.

Wanted to show you too, the gorgeous clouds that have moved into our area. They're from the tropical storm coming up from Baja and we've had tons of thunder, lightning and rain. No worry about fire because of all the downpours. Wish you could smell how amazing these rains make our mountain air - you can really smell the sagebrush and other plants. And after the rain stops, the birds just sing and sing.

Good luck with our next give-a-way and I hope you all have a marvelous weekend.

I love the giveaway. I found you from Ravelry. I was really excited to see you are from Tehachapi my grandmother lived in Bakersfield and my Aunt in North Edwards when we would come out to visit we would drive through Tehachapi thanks for bringing those memories back. I love the idea of Doris as well I would think that would make socks so much more fun.

Hi, I don't have a blog, but I love reading blogs, especially ones about knitting. I've only ever knit socks by hand and think that it would be so much fun to watch it being done on a machine. What a cute idea for naming your machine Doris! I'd love a chance to win a pair of Doris socks. Judy L.
