Lilacs and a Sock Giveaway.......

Our Lilac bushes are in bloom and the fragrance is amazing.  Our goal "someday" is to line our entire fences with them.  They're blooming everywhere in town and are so gorgeous.   Don't you just love springtime?

I got to thinking - we haven't had a contest for a pair of socks in ages.  And this week is our 42nd wedding anniversary.  So, just leave a comment on this post and share what you love most about spring with everyone.  On Wednesday, April 25th (our anniversary), I'll randomly select one lucky name to win a pair of women's size medium socks (shoe size approximately 8 1/2 - 10).  Be sure to leave contact info to make it easy for me!  The socks to be won will be chosen by me (I have to have some fun, too), so they'll be a nice surprise for the winner.

Good luck, and be sure to check back on Wednesday.

What I enjoy most about spring time is that the earth seems to come alive again. The new growth, the flower blossoms, the fragrant smells all bring a smile to my heart after the grey of winter.

I love everything turning green and all of the flowers blooming. I have iris, roses, daffodils, peonies are blooming in my yarn now. Kathleen was my mother's name, also.

I love the longer days! It's like coming out of a funk, I just feel normal lol I don't really know how to describe it.

Our lilacs are gone already - such an early spring. I have to say they make quite a mess on the sidewalk when the blossoms fall off! But it was fragrant to awhile! Bleeding Heart is still gorgeous, and we'll have peonies soon.

I love calving. Every morning I take my coffee in a travel cup and go to the barn and pasture and watch *the cow channell*.

The end of winter! I grew up on the central coast of CA and now live in NE. I'll never fully adjust to all the snow and frigid temps. Congrats on 42 years! Wonderful.

I love the temperature change and everything coming back to green. I so enjoy my flowers, trees and lawn. Just being able to be outside a lot is great! Makes horseback riding more enjoyable too.

I love the color of Spring the most, I fall in love with yellows and purples.
I love that the garden starts to come alive.

Oh, one of my favorite part of spring is lilacs too. Ours won't bloom here till late May or early June though (they've just started to bud leaves). I am looking forward to them.

Also, I love tulips. Our one magical tulip just bloomed. And our flower flies have just emerged from the yard, so I know it really is spring!

Happy Anniversary! We will make it to 40 years soon. :-) Spring? I love the colors and scents! Green, green, green. There are dozens of shades of green. And dirt, daffodils, roses, mock orange--all have amazing scents. Love them all.

When Spring comes I like that summer is around the corner, I can wave goodbye to the cold winter.
The Iris is also my most loved flower, they really lift my spirits.

The flowers! Coming up from the ground, covering the bushes, and hanging from the trees.

I love the mixture of warmth and rain, the new growth and the awakening of nature.

I love the blossoms everywhere and our baby lambs playing in the pasture.

Lilacs equal spring and memories of making bouquets of them after the house was cleaned on Saturdays when I was a teenager.
The property where we are living has two bushes, how great a fence line of them would be.
Happy anniversary to you! June is 45yr for us.
