The girls turned 11 weeks old yesterday and we heard their first "clucks" over the weekend. My husband was jazzed! Oh, they've made lots of funny bird sounds but we were getting worried because they hadn't "clucked" yet.
Again, they were quite curious about my camera and kept pecking at the lense.
Here's Lucy and Ethel being quite "peckish" with their food. One always has her foot in the pie pan to tilt it upwards.
Gertrude wanted a little extra attention this evening and was quite content to have my husband hold her.
And now that 6 socks were cranked out today and the girls' pen all cleaned up for the evening, I sat outside and watched as the evening shadows began to fall on our mountain. Life is good.
