Time For Extra Warm Socks

My oldest grandson, Spencer, is heading off to winter church camp next month. It's high in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California so the weather is sure to be icy cold - especially at night. He asked if I'd make him a red cap (which I will) but I decided that some warm worsted weight socks will be needed also. It's so fun to be able to knit for your grandkids AND that they really appreciate your effort, too!

He will be warm as toast. Warm feet and head make for a warm body.

What a good grandma you are! A very real cold snap hit here this weekend and I was able to whip up a pair of mittens for my grandson. Which he much appreciated the next morning on the way to school. You are right...it is fun to knit for people who appreciate it.

I love those socks ! Don't laugh but Wool-Ease is one of my favorite yarns. I have used almost every color except the oat colored one that you're using.
