It's That Time Again.......

Let's have a sock giveaway for this pair of women's size M socks.  They're made with Plymouth Yarn Company's "Sockin' Sox" sock yarn which is a 60% wool, 25% bamboo and 15% nylon blend.

(FOR SOME WIERD REASON, BLOGGER ISN'T ALLOWING ME TO DOWNLOAD A PHOTO AT THIS TIME........I'LL ADD IT AS SOON AS THEY FIX THE PROBLEM)

Here's the catch tho.  I love good movies and great soundtracks.  What does that have to do with knitting?  Absolutely nothing!  I love making my husband guess what song is playing on my CD and who wrote it.  Quirky I know, but it's kind of a game to me and makes me laugh.  SO....... here's the two part question for you to answer:

Who wrote the music to the movie, "Hatari" AND who starred in it?

Leave your answer on this post along with contact info (like Ravelry, etc.) and on Tuesday morning (California time), January 8th, I'll randomly draw one lucky name to win these socks.

See you then.

Whoa, I've never heard of that movie before! My Dad used to make me guess who was singing when we'd be driving some where, especially the 80's songs.

Classic John Wayne movie directed by Howard Hawks with the music by Henry Mancini.
Also a little fact for you Hatari is the Swahili word for Danger.
My dad loved John Wayne movies and liked to order us around in Swahili lol

Thank goodness for Wikipedia :) I've never heard of this movie before, which I learned was made 22 years before I was born! Starring John Wayne, and with music by Henry Mancini. The only part I can relate to is that I've been to northern Tanzania, where the movie was filmed.

I hadn't heard of this movie, either, but thanks to the Internet, it wasn't hard to discover that the music was written by Henry Mancini.

I admit I had to look this one up.

Hatari starred John Wayne and featured a song by Henry Mancini that would become famous "Baby Elephant Walk".

Thanks for holding this contest and say hi to Dorris. She's a great old machine!

Starred John Wayne and Elsa Martinelli (was she related to the sparkling cider family I wonder? Even though she was born in Italy and it's an American company...) and the music was written by Henry Mancini.

I haven't heard of this movie before, so I had to look it up on Imdb. If you meant the 1962 movie Hatari! starring John Wayne, then its music was created by Henry Mancini.

That is one of my favorites! Hatari. Starred John Wayne, Red Buttons, Hardy Kruger and Elsa Martinelli. Music by Henry Mancini. That Baby Elephant Walk is a real classic. My high school pep band played it often.
