Let's Celebrate With a Little Giveaway.....

What a scrumptious morning sunrise!  And finally, the worst is behind us.  3 out of the 4 repair jobs have been completed.  The wind turbine's shock absorber was re-welded to the frame, the diesel generator was fixed and yesterday the electrician re-wired the ceiling fan that my husband put in and made a change inside the wall switch.  Next up will be the pellet stove guys and hopefully there won't be any electrical problems with that.  They should be up next week, which is absolutely fine because our temps have warmed back up and the days have been in the low 80's.

And with all that wonderful news, let's have a little giveaway for this skein of Yukon hand dyed sock yarn.  Just leave a comment on this post and tell everyone what you are most thankful for.  Please make it easy for me and leave contact info (like Ravelry, etc.).  On Monday, October 17th, I'll randomly draw one lucky name.

It's good to be back up and running with power and the ability to spend more time on the computer.  Thanks for hanging in there with me!

(You do not have to add me to the giveaway since I won the last one) I am so glad to hear from you. I was concerned with all your troubles in the last week. Glad that the electrical and wind turbine are back to normal. Enjoy the lovely weather the winter is coming!

I am thankful for the wonderful fall weather we are having, temps in the mid 70's. The leaves are beginning to change a little, the weather guy it probably be 2 more weeks before they are at their peak. I am glad you have the electrical problems fixed. I am also thankful for all the friends I have on Ravelry and blogs.

Oh wow, I hadn't checked in on you in a while. Good to hear everything is getting settled back into normal mode.

As shallow as it seems, I'm really thankful it's Friday. And, also, that we have a holiday next Tuesday so I get a day off in the middle of the week.

I am grateful for the news that my mom's newly diagnosed cancer is still in an early stage, and that her chemotherapy will most likely be successful!

I am thankful that my youngest seems to be having a good time at college and is doing well academically. Truly, the grades didn't worry me, but she is so shy, and I was a bit concerned when her roommate turned out to be very shy also. But all is well and she has met people and is fitting in! Hopefully your power issues are all behind you. It's so difficult to be without the basics in modern day life. It's hard to have to think about things like turning on a faucet or using an appliance. So automatic just to do it.

Currently I'm thankful for rx anti-inflammatory drugs which allow me to do most of the things I want to do all day.

After being diagnosed with cancer this year, I am thankful that it was caught early and was removed with surgery. I will not even need radiation or chemo. I feel very, very luck that it was not worse. I am grateful to be alive, to have access to excellent doctors, to be employed with good health insurance, and I am thankful to have had the love and support of so many friends and family. Many thanks to you all for the beautiful sock yarn giveaway!

Hi, I'm a lurker on Ravelry and saw your blog in one of the forums. :)

I am thankful for having a job. Being 24, I feel really fortunate that I have a job in the field I want to work in, with my own health insurance and place to live. Many of my friends and former classmates are stuck living at home (and probably will for a while), and the more I hear in the news, the more thankful I am to have a job -- and one that I love, too!

I'm PurlsEntwined on Ravelry :) Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

This morning I am thankful for many things - a rare day sleeping in till the sun kissed me awake, that all the cattle were on the right side of the fences when I went out to do chores, that my neighbors stove fire last night only meant a ruined roast and a story to tell, that we were able to pay it forward and invite him to eat with us when we saw the firetruck on the hill, that all the tomatoes did not rot on the counter while I got sidetracked at school and mostly I am thankful for a day off to recharge and regroup.

I am so thankful that both myself and DH are still gainfully employed. We have critters that depend on us for food - at least our love for them is free!
